EDD has been formed in 2014 informally by like-minded professionals working in social development and humanitarian fields in different capacities and sectors, and has formally been registered in Turkey, in 2021. EDD envisaged to be a social and human development actor, consequently, the organization’s focus is not kept limited either to a certain geography or sector. EDD’s founding members have been working in a range of programs in Turkey and abroad in the areas of development/social development, human rights, humanitarian protection, child protection, minority groups, agriculture, institutional/organizational capacity building, cultural heritage, social work, education, livelihoods, psychosocial support, environment, shelter, WASH, youth & women empowerment, and emergency response. Our founding members on average have more than 10 years of relevant work experience both working for I/NGOs and in consultancy capacities
